The Oregon LL.M. in Environmental and Natural Resources Law

Apply

The Oregon LL.M. class is limited to a select group of highly qualified candidates to enhance the educational experience. Admission requires an excellent academic record, strong legal research and writing skills, and a demonstrated interest in environmental and natural resources law. Applicants must have a J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school, or a law degree from a non-U.S. program of legal education.

Applications may be submitted at any time. Admission Committee decisions on admittance are made on a rolling basis soon after each application is received. We encourage applications early, but there is no firm deadline. High-quality applicants can be considered as long as space remains in our LL.M. class for the coming term.

To apply please submit the checklist, the listed documents that it describes, and:

If you have any questions about assembling this information, please contact us by email. When your file is complete, the Admission Committee will review it and contact you regarding the decision. If you are accepted, you must submit a non-refundable tuition deposit of $500 to hold your place in the class.

International applicants are not required to submit the $50 application fee. However, they should submit the International Financial Aid Statement with their application, to facilitate the process of obtaining a visa. Non-native English speakers must ordinarily satisfy the University of Oregon's Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) standard for graduate student admission with a score of at least 600 on the paper test, 250 on the computer test, or 100 on the new Internet-based test. If the IELTS was taken, a score of 7.0 is ordinarily required.
